Happy December!!

I had to stop doing CIO for about a week. My parents, Dave, Piper and I went to St. George UT to go see my newest nephew Jonas. (SOOOO cute btw!!) Could you imagine trying to sleep train your baby on an 8 hour trip down, and back? SOOOO... Yeah. I waited about a day to start up again. This time I had more of a schedule in mind. I decided her new bedtime is 7:30pm her naps would be 10 am and 2 pm. The first night (the night we got home) she didn't go down until 11:30pm, she woke up after about 10 minutes and I had to go in a few times, but she slept until almost 5am then wanted to eat. But then she didn't want to go back to sleep. I wasn't very happy about this. I tried to rock her, then lay her down, then rock her, then lay her down, and so on and so forth... Finally while rocking her I said a quick prayer. I asked Heavenly Father to PLEASE have her go back to sleep, and to also get the rest she needs so I can put her on a schedule.

No sooner did I say Amen did my precious baby girl go to sleep. I laid her down, went to bed, and slept... I woke up before she did... At 10:30AM!!!!!!!! It was GLORIOUS!!! So I decided we would skip her first nap and wait until her 2nd nap. She didn't quite make it to 3, more like 1:30 but she slept 2 hours. So it was difficult but I kept her up until 7:30 and she didn't even put up a fuss. She was OUT. But she woke up a few minutes later... I went in 2 times, and she was asleep. She woke up 2 more times but I didn't go in. Then the best thing happened. She slept till 8:30!!!! So yesterday we did her new routine, and she put up a little fuss, but slept ALL NIGHT until 8:15!!! But I think I am figuring out my flaw... I need to wake her up at 7:30 am so her naps go more smoothly because today she fought me hard core to go to bed for the night. So tomorrow I start *MY* new sleep routine... I am not a morning person...

But I am beginning to see an improvement in her personality. She seems to be happier, and easier to settle when she is fussy. So here's hoping things go better tomorrow!!!
