Babies are HARD WORK!

Especially when you have a back that gives out on you with no notice. The last week and a half I Have been suffering with a terrible back. I can feel the awful pain in my tail bone. It was so bad I had my dad and Uncle Ron give me a blessing. After a few hours I was beginning to feel better! And a couple days went by, and I felt like I was getting back to normal. Then something happened, and I was extremely upset about some accusations directed at me and my ability to parent, which upset me greatly. I believe this contributed in my back not only hurting again, but was worse the next day.

I woke up the next morning, and my back hurt again, so I took some aleve, and went about my day. Once 5 rolled around, I was no longer able to walk. I was unable to pick up my daughter, and the only way I could be mobile was to crawl. So while attempting to care for Piper, I would crawl, hook my arm under her belly, and scoot her forward. My dad saw me doing this, laughed at me, then picked her up, and asked where I was going with her. This is where I say babies are hard work, because dang it I was doing everything I could to care for her so I wasn't being a burden on my parents. Dave and my mom were both out of town while this was going on.

The next morning it came to me. I need to do back strengthening exercises. So I started to do them, and they were SO beyond words painful. I nearly gave up, but I persevered, and suffered through it. Then I noticed I could roll over with almost no pain, it still hurt, but I could manage it, then I was able to walk straight. So that's what I have been doing. Aleve and back strengthening exercises. I still have a lot of pain, especially in my hip and tail bone, but I can manage my day better now. And thankfully I have a beautiful daughter who is all so totally worth it! Who by the way is now 8 months old! Time has flown by so fast, and she has gotten so big!

She is crawling everywhere, and her curiosity seems to get more and more each day. She lears quickly, and is starting to mimic certain noises. She now says momma, dada, nana, papa, and baba. She has said Lala a few times. I love watching her explore the house, and watch her mind work, and learn newer, and bigger things each day. I love being a mom so much, I just don't know what I ever did without my baby girl.

  1. Oh man, that would be rough! Babies are definitely a lot of work even when you feel good. I'm glad you're starting to feel better!
